Grundfos support congesting set

The flooding unit is a translucent airtight container with a screw cap at the top. It is located between the tank and the pump. The inlet to the tank and the outlet to the pump is located at the bottom of the tank. The flooding unit is supplied with a wall mounting bracket and a rod for installation on top of the tank.

More info

The flooding unit has the following functions:

1. Filling the pump. It serves to facilitate the filling of the pump in cases where the pump switches off frequently, or when working with high suction height. Here, the flooding unit eliminates or substantially reduces the so-called "dry" suction phase.

2. Gas collection. The gases in the suction line of the pump are trapped in the upper part of the tank and thus cannot enter the pump head.

3. Pulsation damping. The damping air cushion in the upper part of the tank of the flooding unit dampens pressure shocks. It thus helps to optimize dosing accuracy and reduces the risk of cavitation.
